About Bush to Burbs
Hey my name is Adam and I am the sole member at Bush to Burbs. Small team I know, although I do have a large community of passionate landscapers, designers, big thinkers and friends that have taught and mentored me throughout my journey.
It all started when I was young, observing the linage of gardeners that run in my family. It feels natural to use this inspiration in the work I do now. I started my career in garden maintenance which taught me the foundations of seeing a garden as a moving art work that needs patience, care and insight. This work inspired me to study horticulture at Ryde Tafe in Sydney. Here my world in this industry really opened up. I grew a love for all plants, how they have evolved and the similarities that we share with our plant friends!
I then worked along side Sam Cox and the team at Sam Cox landscape where I did my apprenticeship in landscape construction. I have always appreciated the Australian bush but it was through this work with Sam that I was truly inspired by it.
I love a garden. It’s where I feel most at home. I believe we all have an innate connection to nature and a longing to be in it. Especially the nature that us, living in Australia, are so lucky to have.

“Adam took our brief for a natural looking garden with native plants and a veggie box and created an excellent design for our (smallish) front and back gardens that incorporated plants, paving, a bird bath (which Adam carved out of stone), programmable watering system and vegie box. Adam has great communication skills; he listened to our ideas and developed them into a carefully planned garden design we loved. His drawings and excellent description enabled us to picture how it would look at the time of planting and when the plants matured. The work was completed quickly and with great enthusiasm and attention to detail. Two years have passed since the work was completed and we love the results.
